The Medicaid Adult

social, and related support services to functionally disabled adults,
age 16 and older. The Program enables individuals who live in the
community the opportunity to receive care during the day in a group
program, and provides respite to their caregiver at home.

seven
days a week, at licensed Adult Care Day Centers, located in Baltimore
City and the State’s 23 counties.
Care is provided by licensed nurses and social workers, activity
therapists, personal care aides and other service providers.
Plans of Care are
developed by Program staff and the individual’s personal physician, and
are based upon each individuals' personal care needs.
Adult Day Care centers offer the following services: nursing,
nutritional and social work services; physical, occupational, and speech
therapy services; personal care services, transportation and a program
of therapeutic activities.
Centers may offer additional services such as hair care, escorted
